(June 19, 2017) – Sixty Crocker School District children will receive nutritious meals on weekends and holidays thanks to a gift from a local insurance agency and its partner insurance provider.
The Crocker School District Backpack Program sends backpacks filled with food for under privileged children.
“We are thrilled to help this very worthwhile program,” said Steve Rees of the S&R Insurance Agency. “Thanks to a generous grant from our partner, MAX Insurance and its Mutual Aid Ministries program, we can help these kids stay strong and healthy at times when they don’t have access to meals at school.”
S&R Insurance received funding for its gift from MutualAid eXchange Insurance, a fair, faithful and socially responsible provider of home, auto, business and related insurance. The company’s Mutual Aid Ministries program offers Community Grants to its network of independent agencies to support worthwhile programs.
“We are pleased to support S&R Insurance and the Crocker School Backpack Program,” said David Wine, President and CEO of MAX Insurance. “We are sure these funds will be used in a meaningful way.”
