Thompson Insurance Group and MAX® Contribute to International Association of Fire Fighters

(AUSTIN, MN) – The International Association of Fire Fighters is trying to purchase new hoods for each fire fighter in the department.  These hoods are designed to filter out about 90% of the carcinogens in the smoke they come in contact with to reduce the chance of causing cancer.  Thanks to a $500 grant from Thompson Insurance Group and their partner MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”), the department will be able to purchase five hoods.

David Thompson heads Thompson Insurance Group LLC, a member of Atlas Insurance Brokers.  He reached out to the International Association of Fire Fighters after learning about the MAX Agent Community Grant Program.  “I was a fire fighter on the department for nine years as a part time fire fighter,” Thompson said in his application for the grant.  “I have donated to the department in the past and am so pleased to partner with MAX Insurance® and its community grant program to make this gift possible.”
