(PEORIA, AZ) – Hunger is a reality for homeless students in Maricopa County where sometimes the only meals they obtain are through their school programs. That’s where Homeless Engagement Lift Partnership (H.E.L.P.) works with school districts’ Homeless Liaisons to identify which schools, and how many of their students, can receive support through H.E.L.P.’s HelpSnackz program. Thanks to a $2,000 grant from Bovaird Insurance Agency and their partner, MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”), the HelpSnackz program will be able to provide more daily afternoon nutritional snack bags to homeless students in Maricopa County.
Suzanne Bovaird heads Bovaird Insurance Agency. “Our agency provides space in our office warehouse for H.E.L.P.,” Bovaird said. “We enjoy volunteering regularly to help this program and are pleased to partner with MAX Insurance® and its Mutual Aid Ministries Agent Community Grant program to make this gift possible.”
