Ozark Regional Insurance and MAX Insurance® Donate to Prairie Valley Community Center

(VERSAILLES, MO) – Families and couples enjoy spending time at the Prairie Valley Community Center, a facility solely maintained by volunteers and neighbors. Recently an outdoor picnic shelter and concrete pad were added to the grounds. There is just one key thing missing that limits the usefulness of the facility — water. Thanks to donations from Ozark Regional Insurance, community members, and MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”) Insurance, the Prairie Valley Community Center will install a certified well and water system.

“The goal of the Prairie Valley Association is to provide a facility for the community and eventually to provide restrooms and a refurbished interior,” said Philip Hilty of Ozark Regional Insurance in Tipton. “Having water available is a tremendous first step. The certified well and water system will be freeze proof, so year round water would be available to all who visit the center.”

Ozark Regional Insurance is an independent insurance agency representing MAX in Tipton, Versailles and surrounding areas. MAX Insurance®, based in Overland Park, KS, is a unique fair, faithful and socially responsible insurance enterprise. Founded on religious principles, the company’s mission is to restore wholeness to communities and individuals in need. It lives out its mission through a variety of quality, fairly-priced insurance products, outstanding personalized customer service and its non-profit Mutual Aid Ministries (“MAM”) program.

“MAX is more than an insurance company. We truly care beyond the contract,” said David Wine, President and Chief Executive Officer. “That’s why we are excited to partner with Ozark Regional Insurance to help Prairie Valley Community Center.”

Dant Insurance Agency and MAX Insurance® Donate to St. Jude Parish Festival

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – The St. Jude Parish Festival is an annual fundraiser that uses its proceeds to benefit various worthy causes, including the assistance of an inner-city school and church — raising funds for everything from copier paper, to school supplies, to uniforms and Christmas gifts for its parish families.  Supporting the St. Jude Parish Festival is nothing new to Dant Insurance Agency of Indianapolis.  The agency has participated in the event since 1987.  This year Dant Insurance Agency partnered with MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”) Insurance in providing a grant towards a sponsorship at the event.

“This is the largest community event that our agency supports each year,” said Greg Dant of Dant Insurance Agency.  “In addition to contributing funds towards sponsoring the food court, some of our agents volunteer at the event and I have enjoyed being the Booth Co-Chairman for several years.”

Dant Insurance Agency is an independent insurance agency representing MAX in Indianapolis and surrounding areas.  MAX is a fair, faithful and socially responsible home insurance company that was founded on religious principles.  Today it serves people of all faith backgrounds.  It created the Mutual Aid Ministries Agent Community Grant program as a way to partner with their network of independent agents who identify and want to support worthy projects in their communities.

MAX Mindfulness: Creating our Tomorrows

By Dave Wine

Here is one of the most powerful statements we could ever internalize:  “What we think about today creates our tomorrows!”  We quite literally feed our minds, and, when mindless, our egoic minds tend to fill themselves with thoughts of fear, jealousies, limitedness, and judgments.  That is where the great power of being mindful comes into play.  We can affect our tomorrows in a huge way by what we feed our minds with today.  Do you want more love and peace in your life?  Begin today to think thoughts of love and peace!  Do you want more trust and goodwill?  Fill your mind with those thoughts now.    The world we live in is heavily invested with fear and victimhood. Turn on the news, read a newspaper, look at social media and just note how many of the headlines and topics are about fear and what the world and others might do to us.   Why?  Because, as I write often,  our egoic parts of our minds are taught to look out for fear and bad tidings, make judgments, and look for hidden dangers.   So our media knows that sells!  It is our more primitive mind bent.   So again, it takes great effort and focus to feed out minds with thoughts of love, peace and optimism – you can only do it practicing mindfulness –watching what you are feeding your mind.

And feeding our minds is not just a personal, individual focus,  but also one that affects us as a company – a community of individuals.  For example, the more we as a MAX team feed our minds with wholesome, abundant, loving, supportive thoughts, the more MAX will thrive!   Look at sports teams as another example.  Over and over it is not the team with the ‘best’ athletes that win championships.  It is most often the teams that have a common focus, vision and inclusive type thoughts that rally around and support one another in special ways.  It works the same with MAX.  Think of what 52 team members can accomplish when we are feeding our minds today with thoughts of a productive, fun, loving, whole, expansive, limitless tomorrow!  A huge part of creating and sustaining wholeness begins in our mind!   I invite all of us to think seriously about what we are feeding our minds today so that we can create what we most want tomorrow – both for you personally and for MAX!

Remember:  What we think about today creates our tomorrows!

What to do After a Hailstorm

Unfortunately, hailstorms occur all over the country throughout most of the spring and summer seasons and can cause damage to your property.  After a hailstorm hits, MAX members typically ask if they need to file a claim and inquire about the necessary steps to file a claim.  Here are a few helpful steps if your home sustains damage after a hailstorm:

  1. Please be sure to make note of the day and time of the hailstorm to correctly report to us.
  2. After the storm has passed and there is no risk, you can inspect your dwelling for damage, including roof, gutters, air conditioning unit, window screens ,etc. We recommend that you do not climb on your roof if is steep and dangerous.   Also, check for any interior water leaking in any of your interior rooms.
  3. If you have any broken windows or interior water damage, contact a contractor to complete temporary repairs and keep the invoice to submit for our review.
  4. You may wish to have a local, licensed contractor inspect your property and give you an estimate to determine if the repairs will exceed your deductible. Many policies have a 1% wind/hail deductible.
  5. You can file a claim by calling your agent and he/she will submit the claim to us. If you don’t have a local agent or his/her office is closed, you can call us direct at  877-971-6300 and we will file your claim.
  6. Once your claim has been filed, one of our adjusters will contact you to discuss your claim and answer any questions.

If you have any questions, please contact your MAX agent or give us a call at 877-971-6300 and we are happy to help!
