Farmers Union Insurance Agency and MAX Insurance® Donate to Farmers’ Legal Action Group (FLAG)

(ST. PAUL, MN) – A $1,000 grant from Farmers Union Insurance Agency and their partner, MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”) was given to Farmers’ Legal Action Group (FLAG) as part of MAX’s Mutual Aid Ministries Agent Community Grant program.  FLAG is a nonprofit law center dedicated to providing legal services and support to family farmers and their communities in order to help keep family farmers on their land.

Rodney Allebach is President and General Manager of the Agency. “We are fully owned by a grassroots farm organization dedicated to the perpetuation of the family farm and half of our business is agricultural-related,” Rodney said.  “We feel supporting FLAG is critical to providing legal services to farm families in need of counsel, farms who have fallen victim to natural disasters, low commodity prices, insurmountable debt, and those facing bankruptcies and foreclosures. Our Agency is pleased to partner with MAX Insurance® and its Agent Community Grant program to make this gift possible.”

Farmers Union Insurance Agency is an Independent Insurance Agency representing MAX Insurance® in St. Paul and throughout Minnesota.  MAX Insurance®, based in Overland Park, Kansas, is a unique fair, faithful and socially responsible insurance enterprise.  Founded on religious principles, the company’s mission is to restore wholeness to communities and individuals in need.  It lives out its mission through a variety of quality, fairly-priced insurance products, outstanding personalized customer service and its unique Mutual Aid Ministries program.

“MAX is more than an insurance company.  We truly care beyond the contract,” said David Wine, President and Chief Executive Officer.  “That’s why we are excited to partner with Farmers Union Insurance Agency and help support Farmers’ Legal Action Group in their community.”

$20K Charity Giveaway – Check Presentation to Together We Rise

The MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”) team continues its celebration of reaching our 20,000 members milestone.  The number 20,000 is special to MAX because it represents the continued strong growth of MAX and our ability to live out our vision of creating and sustaining wholeness for property, lives and communities.

In celebrating this great milestone, we held a $20K Charity Giveaway.  Three charities were selected – Feeding America, Mennonite Disaster Service and Together We Rise - and over a period of two weeks, votes were cast online. The charity with the most votes and recipient of $20,000 was....Together We Rise.

Last week, Drew Thomas, Director of Development, from Together We Rise came to MAX’s home office in Overland Park, Kansas for a check presentation.

Thanks to everyone who voted and thanks to each of our MAX members for choosing MAX for your home and farm insurance needs.  We are excited to celebrate this 20,000 milestone with you!

Stockman Insurance Inc. and MAX Insurance Donate to the Montana Rescue Mission Men’s Shelter

(BILLINGS, MT) – Homeless men in Billings have a warm place to stay while also getting food and clothing at the Montana Rescue Mission.  Thanks to a generous grant from Stockman Insurance Inc. and their partner MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”), shelter, meals and clothing will be available to these men along with life skill classes to prepare them for successful living in the coming weeks.

“The purpose of the Montana Rescue Mission is to provide emergency, temporary care and rehabilitative services from a Christian perspective,” said Curt McCamish of Stockman Insurance. “Our agency supports this mission as Billings has numerous homeless individuals and we believe the mission could use this grant to not only help their current guests, but also help the mission grow as they near their capacity of 98 beds.”

Happy Heart of MAX Month

February is known for many things – Valentine’s Day, Heart Health Month, President’s Day and at MAX we dedicate February as the Heart of MAX Month.  What are we referring to?  Our Mutual Aid Ministries program!

Our Mutual Aid Ministries program is the Heart of MAX.  It’s what makes MAX different from other insurance companies.  By giving back to our agents’ communities, we help organizations that are doing good locally.  We call this our Agent Community Grant program.  In addition to these grants, Mutual Aid Ministries operates a non-profit which provides grants to individuals facing extreme hardships caused by job loss, health problems and other significant challenges.

So, on behalf of the MAX team, Happy Heart of MAX month!  If you want to learn more about Mutual Aid Ministries, click here or call us at 877-971-6300.
