ARK and MAX Insurance Contribute to Fire Relief Foundation

Families who have lost their homes and items in a house fire find hope and support from the Fire Relief Foundation in Findlay, OH.  Thanks to a $2,500 grant from ARK Insurance and their partner MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”), the organization can now assist more people in their time of need.

Kathy Coppes heads ARK Insurance.  She reached out to MAX and its Mutual Aid Ministries Community Grant Program to help support the Fire Relief Foundation.  “This great organization stands beside families after their loss and offers household items, monetary assistance, and a shoulder to lean on until the families can get back on their feet,” Coppes said in her application for the grant.  “They function solely through the help of volunteers, many of whom have been fire victims themselves. The organization began in the founder’s garage after losing their own home and contents in a house fire.  Now they not only help our local community, they also send items to other states if there is a crisis that needs their help.”

MAX is a fair, faithful and socially responsible home, auto and property/casualty insurance company that was founded on religious principles.  Today it serves people of all faith backgrounds.  It created the Mutual Aid Ministries Community Grant program as a way to partner with their network of independent agents who identify and want to support worthy projects in their communities.

Clark County Fire Department Receives Grant from Cherry Insurance and MAX Insurance

Last spring’s wildfires took a toll on Clark County Fire Department’s equipment.  With a tight budget, replacing the equipment would be difficult.

That’s why Cheri Martin of the Cherry Insurance, Inc. in Montezuma requested a grant from MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”), one of its insurance providers. MAX and its Mutual Aid Ministries program, along with Martin, have donated $2,500 to help cover some of these unanticipated expenses.

“In a small community like ours, we all have to pull together,” Martin said.  “Our firefighters were out there on the front lines protecting lives and property.  The least we could do is help them replace the equipment they need to protect us.  We are very grateful to MAX for their support in helping provide equipment that will help them do their job.”

“We are pleased to support the Cherry Insurance, Inc. and the Clark County Fire Department,” said David Wine, President and CEO of MAX Insurance.  “We applaud the firefighters for their spirit and courage.”

Mutual Aid Ministries Helps Keep Lights on for Salina Family Following Job Loss

A Salina, KS man was faced with a moral dilemma.  Keep his job by working Sundays during his boss’ busy season, or lose his job for the sake of the spiritual, mental and family health he received at church on Sunday morning.  The man’s boss actually offered him extra money if he’d work Sundays.

Missing church was not an option for him and his family.  The man chose church.   The boss fired him and the man has started doing roofing work to help make ends meet.  For now things are tight and bills are due.

That’s where Mutual Aid Ministries was asked to help out.  MAX agent, Mike Frey, and the man’s pastor, Jeff Piepho, at Revolution Church in Salina contacted us. The church was contributing $100 to help pay the family’s phone and electric bill; would we cover the remaining $329.06?  Pastor Piepho said theirs was a high-need church and that Mutual Aid Ministries had blessed them on several previous occasions.

The Mutual Aid Ministries Advisory Team quickly responded, the family’s lights are still on and hopefully his roofing work will help get them back on their feet.

If you know of someone who could use our help, don’t hesitate to contact Mutual Aid Ministries.  Mutual Aid Ministries is the heart of MAX.  We provide grants to eligible individuals, families and community organizations.  Visit www.MutualAidMinistries.com to learn more.
