Orphaned Calf Relief Program Receives Grant from Cherry Insurance and MAX Insurance

(June 15, 2017) – Four-H youth and families who have been raising orphaned calves since last spring’s wildfires received more support recently.

Cheri Martin of Cherry Insurance, Inc. in Montezuma requested a grant from MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”), one of its insurance providers. MAX and its Mutual Aid Ministries program approved the grant request and recently delivered it to the 4 Leaf Clover, 4-H Club Orphaned Calf Fund.

“Our entire community has been pulling together to help save and raise these calves, and to show our pride in the young people and their families who have taken on this big task,” said Cheri Martin.  “We are very grateful to MAX for their support in helping provide equipment that will make their job a bit easier.”  The grant will help purchase a wagon or wheelbarrows for several of the affected families.

“We are pleased to support the Cherry Insurance, Inc. and the Orphaned Calf Fund,” said David Wine, President and CEO of MAX Insurance.  “We are sure these funds will be used in a meaningful way.”

MAX Insurance is a fair, faithful and socially responsible provider of home, auto, business and related insurance serving people of all faith backgrounds.  The company’s Mutual Aid Ministries program offers Community Grants to its network of independent agencies to support worthwhile programs.
