Van Buren Community Sports Association Receives Improvement Grant from Tabler Agency

PlaygroundVan Buren area youth have recently seen some improvements to their park thanks to a generous grant from Tabler Agency and its partner insurance supplier, MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”).

The grant helped the Van Buren Community Sport Association complete the mulch at the new playground, and will help install safety fencing between the fields and a parking lot, and make other needed improvements.  The VBCSA is a private, non-profit organization that receives no public funding.  The organization raises all its own money through gifts, grants and concession sales.

“VBCSA provides a great service for our children and families,” Michael Tabler said.  “Our kids learn sportsmanship, teamwork, physical fitness and other skills that will help them throughout their lives.  I’m proud to make this gift on behalf of Tabler Agency and MAX.”

MutualAid eXchange Insurance is a fair, faithful and socially responsible provider of home, auto, business and related insurance.  The company’s Mutual Aid Ministries program offers Community Grants to its network of independent agencies to support worthwhile programs.

“We are pleased to support the Tabler Agency as it improves the VBCSA sports fields,” said David Wine, President and CEO of MAX Insurance.  “We are sure these funds will be used in a meaningful way.”

ARK and MAX Insurance Contribute to Fire Relief Foundation

Families who have lost their homes and items in a house fire find hope and support from the Fire Relief Foundation in Findlay, OH.  Thanks to a $2,500 grant from ARK Insurance and their partner MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”), the organization can now assist more people in their time of need.

Kathy Coppes heads ARK Insurance.  She reached out to MAX and its Mutual Aid Ministries Community Grant Program to help support the Fire Relief Foundation.  “This great organization stands beside families after their loss and offers household items, monetary assistance, and a shoulder to lean on until the families can get back on their feet,” Coppes said in her application for the grant.  “They function solely through the help of volunteers, many of whom have been fire victims themselves. The organization began in the founder’s garage after losing their own home and contents in a house fire.  Now they not only help our local community, they also send items to other states if there is a crisis that needs their help.”
