Ken Weaver heads Troyer-Weaver Insurance Agency.  “Many of our clients’ children and grandchildren attend Adair Public Schools and would benefit from having much needed items in their classrooms such as document cameras, reading magnifiers for special education, busy bands for children with ADHD, autism and hyperactivity, digital microscopes and more,” Weaver said.  “To help a teacher in our district avoid using personal funds to purchase these items for their classroom is our pleasure.  Our agency is pleased to partner with MAX Insurance® and its Agent Community Grant program to make these gifts possible.”

MAX’s $20K Charity Giveaway

Hello MAX Members:

We are celebrating a new milestone – 20,000 members. The number 20,000 is special to MAX because it represents the continued strong growth of MAX and our ability to live out our vision of creating and sustaining wholeness for property, lives, and communities.

In celebration of this milestone, we are introducing our $20K Charity Giveaway.  Will you help us choose the charity?  The three options are Feeding America, Mennonite Disaster Service, and Together We Rise.

Will you help us choose the charity?  Voting takes place April 22 - May 3.  The charity with the most votes will be announced on MAX's website, www.maxinsurance.com, Facebook www.facebook.com/maxwholeness, and Twitter www.twitter.com/maxwholeness.

  1. Feeding America
The Feeding America network is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working to connect people with food and end hunger.  They work to get nourishing food – from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers – to people in need. At the same time, they also seek to help the people they serve build a path to a brighter, food-secure future.

MAX's Home Office Team in Overland Park, KS has participated in Harvesters Community Food Network's (local food bank partner of Feeding America) Holiday Boxes Food Drive the past three years, providing food items for a holiday meal and packing over 300 boxes for local families in the Kansas City region.

  2. Mennonite Disaster Service
Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) is a volunteer network of Anabaptist churches that responds in Christian love to those affected by disasters in Canada and the United States. While the main focus is on clean up, repair and rebuilding homes, this service touches lives and nurtures hope, faith and wholeness.

MAX was founded in the early 2000's when a group of Mennonite, Brethren and related Anabaptist faith communities agreed to blend their respective mutual aid societies into one cooperative insurance exchange.  MAX's Mutual Aid Ministries program has partnered with Mennonite Disaster Service in years past and believes in MDS's mission wholeheartedly.

  3. Together We Rise
Together We Rise is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Their vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. They collaborate with individuals, companies, and community partners to bring resources to foster youth throughout the U.S. and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system.

MAX Harrisonburg, VA team members led a project of purchasing, decorating, stuffing and delivering 50 Sweet Cases in two counties in Virginia. The Sweet Cases are provided to foster children in place of trash bags which is all the children have to move their belongings sometimes. The entire MAX team, along with a company match from Mutual Aid Ministries, was able to make this fun project happen.

Thank you for choosing MAX for your home and farm insurance needs.  We are proud to celebrate this 20,000 milestone with you.
