THE NEED IS CRITICAL! HELP YOUR NEIGHBOR TODAY
Today, more than ever, Mutual Aid Ministries (“MAM”) needs your help.
Hard-working families are falling behind, single moms are mired in low paying jobs, seniors cling to shrinking fixed incomes and children go to school hungry.
These are the people MAM seeks to help through our unique partnership with MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”), and the generous policy holders who have purchased MAX home, farm, business and vehicle insurance.
MAX is a fair, faithful and socially responsible enterprise that donates a portion of its revenues to the Mutual Aid Ministries Share Fund. MAX employees also give parts of their paychecks while board members, business partners and caring friends contribute even more.
Working alongside local churches and community service organizations, MAM has given assistance to thousands of individuals and families who needed our help. Here are just a few of their stories:
- Jane has no medical insurance and could not afford a critical exam that her doctor recommended. A MAX Share Fund Grant, along with assistance from her congregation, paid for the exam so treatment could be offered.
- A couple, in their 90’s and living on a low fixed income, needed to upgrade the electrical system in their house from fuses to breakers in order to keep their home safe from fire. They did not have the money! A MAX Share Fund Grant paid for an electrician to do the work, bringing safety, assurance, and wholeness to their living situation.
- Sue is an unemployed single mother with three children. She lost her job due to sickness, her unemployment ran out months ago and she has been denied disability payments. Medically, she is dealing with cancer, diabetes, an enlarged heart and high blood pressure. A MAX Share Fund Grant, given through her congregation, assisted in paying some of her bills.
- Steve is confined to a wheelchair and needs an entrance ramp to get in and out of his house. A MAX Share Fund Grant, working through a local non-profit social service agency, provided assistance to purchase materials so that volunteers could build the ramp.
