It started more than a century ago when small faith communities operated their own insurance exchanges to protect members’ property from fire, storms and other hazards. If a member suffered a loss, everyone would pitch in to get them back on their feet and restore wholeness.
Over time, these church-based enterprises consolidated and in January 2001 became MutualAid eXchange (MAX), a cooperative member-owned property casualty insurance enterprise with operations in many U.S. states.
Today, MAX has grown and evolved, but we remain committed to our historic values as we insure your home, farm, and other valuable property. We call it Insurance the Way It Should Be and you won’t find it anywhere.
