(Hillsville, VA) — Vital emergency first aid will be available at the new Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Outreach Center thanks to a grant from an area insurance agency and one of its providers of homeowners, farm, auto and related forms of insurance.

Hanks Insurance Agency of Galax, VA requested funding from MutualAid eXchange (“MAX”) Insurance, to acquire a heart defibrillator for use by trained personnel at the Outreach Center. The equipment can help stabilize a victim of a heart attack while emergency personnel are on their way.

“We are excited to donate this important piece of equipment and to be involved in this great project for the Hillsville community,” said Rickey Stone, principal of Hanks Insurance. “We believe in being involved in the community. We are confident that the Outreach Center will be a great resource for the youth and families of Hillsville. We congratulate Pastor Jeff Picket and everyone who has done so much to bring this center to completion.”
